Since 2006, Dr. Melton has been teaching the basics of chair-side dental assisting in the Advanced Dental Assisting School in Drumright, Oklahoma.

The class meets on twelve consecutive Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. beginning February 4, 2017. The morning includes class room lecture and testing. After a short lunch, furnished on the premises, the afternoon hands-on training is conducted in the clinical area of Drumright Dental Center. The latest equipment is available for the students to learn the fascinating field of chair side dental assisting.

At the completion of the twelve weeks, the students have learned the basics of dental terminology, four-handed chair side assisting, taking excellent dental x-rays, study model impressions, as well as learning the areas of oral surgery, pediatric dentistry and the other areas of current day to day dentistry.

When does the Advanced Dental Assisting School start?
Classes begin the first Saturday in February. Enrollment for 2018 is open.

When do classes meet?
Classes meets on 12 consecutive Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. In addition, there is approximately 60 hours of home study plus a voluntary 10-15 hours of “practical on-the-job training” for a total of approximately 155 course work hours.

How much does the Advanced Dental Assisting School cost?
Tuition is $2,605 if paid in full before the class starts, $2,900 if paid out over the 12 weeks of classes.

When are Payments Due?
A minimum of an $800 down payment is due to reserve a place in the upcoming class and then $175.00 per week at the beginning of each class.

What is included in the course?
The course includes all costs for the course including textbooks, uniforms, and supplies. Lunch is provided on the premises to maximize learning time. There are no hidden costs or expenses once you get started.

Who can enroll?
The course is open to anyone 18 years of age or older.

The students are also coached on job interviews, telephone etiquette, preparing resumes and proper appearance and dressing for job interviews.

Dr. Melton has over 40 years of experience in dentistry and is able to explain what is expected from the dental assistant by the practicing dentist. A graduate from the Advanced Dental Assisting School Bobbi Green, will assist with course instruction.

The course tuition includes all books, uniforms, all lunches served during the classes, CPR certification and a graduation ceremony for the student after the successful completion of the course.

The new class, starting soon, is open to anyone 18 years of age or older. Financing of the tuition is available to those qualifying for the third party payer.
